A Statement to all Patriot Fans            Feb 2008

Yes it stings. The Patriots were only 1 minute or so from completing
the most prolific season in NFL history & a Superbowl win to cap
things off.  To officially go down as one of the greatest if not the
greatest team of all time.

Congratulations to the New York Giants. Normally I love to bash other
Superbowl winners, especially New York teams across all sports.
But to paraphrase Tedy Bruschi "Hats off to the Giants. You can't
slight their accomplishment of winning the Holy Grail of football. They
are the Superbowl Champs. "

So who are the Patriots & how did they lose?

Plain & simple: The Pats played a team that appeared to want it more
by playing crushing defense holding our offense to just 14 points.

However,  when it was all said and done, it still took an amazing last
minute Hail Mary by Eli Manning out of the clutches of several
defensive lineman & a catch for the ages by their little used tight end
to beat us. The short pass a moment later to the end zone over
Hobbs head was a fore gone conclusion & something the Giants had
well rehearsed before the game.

So the Patriots finished 18 & 1, losing the wrong game by a miracle
Giants finish. Ignore the media & fair weather fans. By the sheer
breadth of what the Patriots accomplished this season, they still are
the NFL's best team. They still are one of the greatest teams of all
time.

Be proud fans. We are truly blessed to call the New England Patriots
our NFL team.  Most cities never get a whiff of a playoff game let
alone Superbowl quality teams year after year.

Bring on Superbowl XLIII!

Respectfully.

"Tom Brady is out for the rest of the season, the Patriots hopes for
returning to the Superbowl are gone"  said by announcers and sports
writers all over after the Game one injury.  "Jets will beat the Pats" was
the call made pregame by the Former Pros turned sportscaster.
Real Fans, like myself and the people I watch games with and you
here in the Fan Clubs know what it takes to win games....a strong
team.   Not just an amazing QB (which we all agree is Tom Brady,
thanks for everything you have done and upon healing will undoubtedly
continue doing and best wishes to a speedy recovery) but an entire
team.  Whether or not 12 and 81 broke records last year would we have
won if the defense let the other team score every time they had the
ball?  No.  Defense is a very important part of the teams core and we
have a great one.  we also still have one of the best offenses out there
which now includes a backup that lets face it...is better then alot of
teams starters. Congats Matt on winning the first game and getting a
your first pro start win again the Jets, keep up the great work, we all
know you're good enough to keep doing it.  To all the players on the
Patriots thanks for all the hard work and lets take the talk about us not
being able to do it just because we lost ONE player for the year and
show every how wrong it is.  Us real fans know we are never out of it till
the clock hits 00:00 and its only just started.  We all know we are going
to lose some games, it's inevitable, but we are 2-0 and looking more
then good enough to be one of the top teams yet again.  Keep cheering
and never doubt!!!  GO PATS!!!!!
